An Art-Ish Activity Have you ever had any doubt in your artistic abilities? Has anyone ever told you that something you have ever made just didn't look right? Ramon in the book Ish had the same problem. A great activity to just get your creativeness out there is to paint or paint something that looks... well...Ish. Make something that is fish-ish, tree-is, or house-ish. Your purpose for this activity is to strive for non-perfection. Draw things that you see or love and make them the way you can and want them to be perceived.
Materials Needed: -White Paper -Sharpie -Paint and paint brushes |
Assessment
This activity is meant for letting students know that nothing is ever perfect. When creating things that you want to create, it doesn't have to be perfect in order for it to be a successful piece of work. The children will be more confident in what they create by knowing that everyone else's creations are...ish.
