Why Read This Book? Have your parents ever gotten packages in the mail and you can't wait to see what is inside. At the end of your day however, you were much more interested in what you can do with that box? Yes, it has happened to all of us at one time or another. Check out "Not A Box" and see what this little bunny can create out of just a box. This box will take you back to your childhood and will enlighten that creative side in your brain. A book you will want to read over and over again.

What's Your Box? This activity is an artistic activity. After everyone has read Not A Box, there is an activity sheet where the students have a chance to draw what they would have done with their box. Once that have drawn their pictures, have them present and explain why they drew what they did. This becomes an artistic activity and a chance for students to express themselves in a different way.
Materials Needed: -Activity Sheet (provided below) -Crayons, or markers |
Assessment
This is a get to know you activity as well. This can easily show other students what each persons ambitions are. If they want to be a fireman, astronaut or race car driver. This will help students become more comfortable with using their imagination.
