What is a Dot to You? This activity is inspired by a book call The Dot. A brief description of this story is that this little girl take a dot she made and turns it into a gallery of beautiful art she had created. Give each student a piece of paper with a dot in the middle of the paper; with this have them create what they would like. Give them no rules and no boundaries, their own creativity is key for this activity.
Materials Needed: -Drawing materials (crayons, markers, or pastels) -Paper. |
Assessment
After completing the activity, the students should now understand that everyone has a chance at being creative. As mentioned before, everyone is creative in their own way. By knowing this alone, the students should now know that no matter what, anything they create is beautiful as long as they believe in themselves.
